Zwischen 1938-1950 erwarb Sample weitere kleinere Grundstücke. Insgesamt alles im Gesamtwert von 54.000 Dollar – und die Geschichte von Port Royal begann!

In den frühen 50ern wurden Lots für in Port Royal zu unglaublichen 7.500 – 12.000 Dollar verkauft! Musterhäuser waren zwischen 22.000 – 25.000 Dollar zu erwerben. In den 60ern waren die Lotpreise dann schon weiter zwischen 15.000- 30.000 Dollar gestiegen und Einfamilienhäuser lagen zu dieser Zeit zwischen 55.000 – 60.000 Dollar. Unfassbar, wenn man bedenkt, dass man heute zwischen 5 – 65 Mio. Dollar für ein Anwesen in Port Royal ausgeben kann. Seit dieser Zeit ist natürlich einiges in Port Royal geschehen und viele der ursprünglichen Häuser wurden renoviert oder abgerissen und durch große elegante Anwesen ersetzt, die eher einem Königspalast ähneln.
