The 3rd Annual Kind Mariner’s Ball, benefiting Freedom Waters Foundation, at the Naples Sailing & Yacht Club was a grand event with a lot of emotions, wonderful people, and music, along with other Irish-themed surprises. The theme of the evening was “An Evening on the Emerald Isle,” a nod to St. Patrick’s Day in March in Ireland. Special guest from Ireland, Emma Nash, a opera soprano, accompanied the dinner with her angelic voice and awesome songs.
The Freedom Waters Foundation was created by Debra Frenkel and John Weller in 2006 to improve the lives of children with disabilities and life-threatening illnesses by providing therapeutic marine related experiences on the waters of Naples. In 2012 it was expanded to include veterans suffering from various disabilities of their service to the country.
