In 1964, Raymond L. Lutgert purchased an undeveloped parcel of land on what’s now Park Shore. With 760 acres and a grand imagination, Lutgert led a team of architects, land planners and engineers to create one of the first master-planned unit districts in the state of Florida (and the very first in Collier County).
