Prime Social May Be the First Rooftop Restaurant on Fifth Avenue South

Those who enjoy downtown Naples may soon be able to experience fine dining that offers a unique bird’s eye view of Fifth Avenue South from a rooftop perch.

A planned restaurant, recently unveiled as Prime Social, offers a rooftop dining experience that is “modern and refined,” per the website of its creator, Cameron Mitchell. Prime Social is set to open in 2024, if it continues its advancement through the city approval process.

Cameron Mitchell Restaurants operates fine dining establishments that span the country from coast to coast, including the popular Del Mar and Ocean Prime located on Fifth Avenue South.

There is a Prime Social situated in Kansas City, Missouri. Other Mitchell restaurants in the Midwest pepper the state of Ohio, and include Mitchell’s Ocean Club, Marcella’s, Molly Woo’s, The Barn, and El Segundo. On the west coast in Southern California there is a second Del Mar, as well an Ocean Prime presence in California and Nevada—two more of this particular brand’s 18 total locations.

Currently, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants operates a total of 21 brands, and 2023 marks its 30th year in business. Mitchell describes his latest endeavor on Fifth Avenue South as “a lively and dynamic rooftop cocktail lounge designed for conversation where guests gather to enjoy the moment,” according to his website.

Prime Social will occupy the roofs of buildings located on Fifth Avenue South’s north side that include Emillions Art and Chops City Grill.

Another Major Development in the Downtown Naples Area

Prime Social isn’t the only unique experience adding to the swank of the Downtown Naples area. The forthcoming Aura at Metropolitan Naples is an ultra-luxury residential community that will bring an allure all its own.

Aura Naples is one of three planned mixed-use residential towers, and will be just steps away from Downtown Naples. The tower currently under development will consist of 10 stories of luxury high-rise condominiums and five exclusive penthouses that overlook the Downtown Naples area. The development will be within a short walk to Fifth Avenue South.
