Proposed Prime Social Rooftop Restaurant Clears Major Hurdle with Naples City Council

In late September the Naples City Council approved preliminary plans for Prime Social, a proposed rooftop restaurant to be situated along Fifth Avenue South. The restaurant concept continues to advance through the city approval process, bringing it closer to becoming a unique dining experience added to Fifth Avenue South—and we can already taste it!

The restaurant will be situated atop the roof of structures located on Fifth Avenue South’s north side, which are occupied by establishments that include Emillions Art, Chops City Grill, and a real estate firm.

Prime Social will be the third restaurant in Naples for restauranteur Cameron Mitchell, and his third dining establishment on Fifth Avenue South—he owns the popular Ocean Prime and Del Mar, also located on the upscale avenue.

The restaurant maven currently owns and operates a total of six restaurants in Florida and 21 brands across the U.S.—from Florida, to Ohio, Missouri, Nevada, and California.

This year marks the 30th year in business for Cameron Mitchell Restaurants since its inception in 1993.

Prime Social is intended to be a place where patrons can “gather to enjoy the moment,” says the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants website. Mitchell promises an experience that is modern and refined, including a relaxing fire pit and panoramic city views. The establishment, which is open to the public, will also have a private membership club, according to the site.

The restaurant is scheduled to open its doors in early 2024.
